Greetings are special words or short sentences that are commonly used in meeting....


Like - : "GOOD MORNING" , "GOOD AFTERNOON" , "GOOD EVENING" , "GOOD NIGHT" , "HELLO" ," HI" , "HEY" , "GOOD DAY" , "GOOD BYE" , "HOW IS IT GOING?" , "HOW ARE YOU DOING?" , "HOW'S YOUR DAY?" , "HOW'S YOUR DAY GOING?" , "GOOD TO SEE YOU" , "NICE TO SEE YOU" , "LONG TIME NO SEE" , "IT'S BEEN A WHILE" , "IT'S NICE TO MEET YOU" , "PLEASED TO MEET YOU" , and many more to learn. 

Greetings have their own importance in speaking, those who use them are considered civilized people.

GOOD MORNING - : This greeting is used from 04 :00 am to 12 :00 or noon, but this greeting is also an exception, if you are meeting a person for the first time, then you can use this greeting.

GOOD AFTERNOON - : This greeting should be spoken from 12: 00 pm to 5:00 pm. 


GOOD EVENING - : There is a confusion in the use of this greeting, but, this greeting is done  5 :00 pm to 9:00 pm or midnight.

GOOD NIGHT - : It is used on the following  points. 
 1) before bedtime. 

2) in the evening, when bidding farewell to someone. 

3) while bidding farewell to co-workers or employees after a day's work, even if it is the time of evening  or it is the time of noon.


GOOD DAY - :  it is used while taking off during the day.

GOOD BYE - : It is used at the time of separation from family members, friends or  special person. 

HELLO - :  is used in the meeting of close friends, or associates. 
while "HEY", "HI" is used in place of "HELLO". 

One more thing, HEY is also used in the meeting of that person who already met before. 


HOW IS IT GOING?  
HOW ARE YOU DOING?  
Both of these help to start the conversation, both are used instead of HOW ARE YOU.


HOW'S YOUR DAY?  
HOW'S YOUR DAY GOING?  
Both these greetings are used for one's friends and employees.

 If you find it happy to meet someone, then you can use the given greetings. 
"GOOD TO SEE YOU" 
OR 
"NICE TO SEE YOU" 

If there is an opportunity to meet a particular person after long time , then one of these two can be used to say. 
"LONG TIME NO SEE", 
OR
"IT'S BEEN A WHILE "


Both greetings are very common, which are used after the meeting of any unknown person. 
"IT'S NICE TO MEET YOU", 
OR 
"PLEASED TO MEET YOU"

NON - CONTINUOUS VERB

Non-continuous verbs   Some verbs can not be used in continuous tense because such verbs are not used in the ING form. Similar verbs are called non-continuous verbs. AS, WHEN AND WHILE,( THESE THREE WORDS HELP TO EXPRESS SIMULTANEOUS ACTION)

There are many actions that occur at the same time that we have to use as, when and while to narrate them,,,, As, when and while, they are called  conjuction which are used to add sentences.
