USE OF HAVE


Use of have

Have often means to own or possess.
(Have) अक्सर खुद के पास या होने का मतलब है।

Have always used according to subject
(Have) का प्रयोग हमेशा सब्जेक्ट के अनुसार किया जाता है

Look at the subjects and their helping verbs.
"HAVE" use with the subject I, YOU, THEY, AND WE.
AND
"HAS" use with the subject HE, SHE, IT, NAME.

To make a positive statement.

Subject + have/has + object.
Ex- she has a pen.
Ex-उसके पास एक पेन है
Ex- I have knowledge.
Ex- मेरे पास ज्ञान है

To make a Negative statement.

Subject + do /does + not + have + object.

Note: to make Negative and Interrogative statements, all subjects have is used.
Ex- she doesn't have a pen.
Ex- उसके पास पेन नहीं है
Ex- I don't have knowledge.
Ex- मेरे पास ज्ञान नहीं है


To make an Interrogative statement.
Do/Does + subject + have + object?

Ex- does she have a pen?
Ex- क्या उसके पास पेन है
Ex- do I have knowledge?
Ex- क्या मेरे पास ज्ञान है

Some other features about having, so here I am going to explain. 


(1) HAVE TO= MUST

Use have to when something is required a lot and you have no choice.

Have to उपयोग तब करें जब किसी चीज़ की बहुत आवश्यकता हो और आपके पास कोई विकल्प न हो।

To make a statement.

Subject + have to / has to + V1ST + object.
Ex I have to complete this work before 6 pm.
Ex-शाम 6 बजे से पहले यह काम पूरा करना है

Ex- she has to sing a song for me.
Ex-उसे मेरे लिए एक गाना गाना है।

(2) Use of don't have to / doesn't have to when something is not necessary or enquired.
जब कुछ आवश्यक ना हो या पूछताछ नहीं की जाती है।


To make a statement.

Subject + don't have to / doesn't have to + V1st + object.

Ex- she doesn't have to go office.
Ex-उसे ऑफिस नहीं जाना है।

Ex- I don't have to work on Saturday.
Ex- मुझे शनिवार को काम नहीं करना है।


(3) Have got / Have got to ( informal way of speaking, it is similar to have and have to)

Ex- I have got a bad cold - stay away!
Ex- मुझे सर्दी है - दूर रहो!
Note:- you can also say, I have a bad cold stay away!

Ex- I have got to study.
Ex- मुझे पढाई करनी है

Note:- you can say, I have to study.

Both similarly work, you have choices, which would you like to use in speaking.


Note:- If have is used as a possession then do not use (ING) with have, But (have) is used in the sense of eating or enjoy then (ING) use with having.

नोट: - यदि(have)  कब्जे(possession) के रूप में उपयोग किया जाता है, तो (ING) के साथ प्रयोग न करें, लेकिन (have) का उपयोग खाने या आनंद के लिए किया जाता है या फिर (ING) का उपयोग किया जाता है। have के साथ. 

Look at the example

Ex I am having a piece of chocolate. (right)
Ex I am having money. (wrong).

NON - CONTINUOUS VERB

Non-continuous verbs   Some verbs can not be used in continuous tense because such verbs are not used in the ING form. Similar verbs are called non-continuous verbs. Non-continuous verbs includes these characteristics (1) verbs that use thinking (2) verbs that show possession (3) verbs that reflect emotion, mental state, and condition (4) Verbs that reflect perception. Non continuous verb में शामिल होती है ये विशेषताएं होती हैं (1)  ऐसी क्रियाओं जो सोचने मे प्रयोग होती है (2) ऐसी क्रियाएं जो आधिकार दर्शाती हो (3) ऐसी क्रियाएं जो भावना, मानसिक दशा, और दशा को दर्शाती हो (4) ऐसी क्रियाएं जो जो धारणा को दर्शाती हो! (1) verbs that use in thinking:-  think, know, mean, mind, remember, suppose, etc . (2) verbs that show possession :-  own, have, belong, comprise, possess, contain, consist, and etc. (3) verbs that reflect emotion, mental state, and condition :-  believe, like, dislike, love, adore, want, wish, desire, hate, agree, trust, imag...

AS, WHEN AND WHILE,( THESE THREE WORDS HELP TO EXPRESS SIMULTANEOUS ACTION)

There are many actions that occur at the same time that we have to use as, when and while to narrate them,,,, As, when and while, they are called  conjuction which are used to add sentences. Actions that occur at the same time are also called simultaneous action. While , While is used to indicate simultaneous long action, while using while we should keep in mind that the time in both sentences should be the same. Ex:- While they were playing cricket, I was studying.  Ex:- I am teaching you while you are disturbing me.  Ex:- I made him understand while he  looked at them.  WHEN,  When is also used to describe simultaneous long action, using when, we also have to keep in mind that time should be same in the both sentences.
