IN MOST OF THE COMPETITIVE EXAMS, CHILDREN MAKE MISTAKE IN THEIR USES, ("HARDLY" , "SCARCELY" , "RARELY" , "NOBODY", "NOTHING" , "NEVER" , "NO SOONER" , "NO ONE" ETC.)
Regardless of the language, the use of two negative words in all languages is considered prohibited or it can be said that two negative words are ignored ,,, but if you are preparing for a competition exam then, A sentence with two negative words used in it is always considered wrong.
It is important to first know what the negative words are. If I use such words, then these words are called negative like,, HARDLY, NO SOONER, RARELY, SCARCELY, NOBODY, NOTHING, NEVER, ANYTHING, ANYBODY, NO, AND NOT.
It has become a matter of what negative words are, but now we understand what are double negative words.
Let's understand through examples,,,
Ex:- She did not hardly like to listen my name.
Ex :- No sooner he did not come out of the house than he faced an accident.
Ex:- No one has not climbed this mountain before.
If we look at the examples are given, both sentences are wrong because given examples double negative words have been used in them.
if we understand the first example, there is "hardly" a negative word before not is used, Like in the other example, "no sooner" is a negative word and after not is immediately used.
These are the correct use of examples given.
Ex:- She hardly liked to hear my name.
Ex:- No sooner he came out of the house than he faced an accident.
Ex:- No one has climbed this mountain before.
Note: - You always have to keep in mind that if you are using these words, do not use "not" before or after them, if you do, then the sentence will be considered wrong.
That's all about The Avoidance of double negative words,,, 😊
