RULES OF USING "TO" ( These are the basic rules of using to )

It has been seen in children that they always have problems in using To and Too, today we will try to overcome it through this blog.




First of all, we have to know which parts of speech both of them come in and how these two are used in a sentence.

If talk about "TOO" , Too is an Adverb whereas, "To" is called preposition,,,,


TOO
Too is an adverb and adverb is used to modify the meaning of verb and adjective or say something about verb and adjective. 

We should always keep this format in mind when using Too in a sentence.

SUB + AUX. VERB + TOO + ADJECTIVE + TO + FIRST FORM OF VERB + OBJECT.

Ex :- It is too cold to go out side.

Ex:- She was too excited to go Delhi last month.

Ex:- It is too easy to solve this question.

Ex :- They were too young to play this game.

Ex :- She was too young to understand the situation.



TO

We use "to", to describe movement in the direction of something.

Ex:- They were going to school yesterday.

Ex:- Mr. Sharma is going to bhopal soon to attend the meeting.

Now we will read the rules of to which will not be learnt,,,, before. 


"To" is used to mean "से " in Hindi, 

Ex:- I said to him

Ex:- Raja Harishchndra always speaks truth to the people. 


"To" is used for expansion of time. 

Ex:- She works from Monday to Friday. 

Ex :- School always opens from Monday to Saturday. 


"To" is used in place of than in some comparative adjective. 

These are some comparative adjective, 
Senior, 
Junior, 
Superior, 
Inferior, 
Prior, 
Anterior 
Posterior, 

Ex :- She is senior to me. 

Ex:- They all were junior to her. 



To is used as an infinitive verb. 

Ex:- He is trying to convince her. 

Ex:- She arranged the meeting to deliver the message. 

Ex:- They called to arrest him.

NON - CONTINUOUS VERB

Non-continuous verbs   Some verbs can not be used in continuous tense because such verbs are not used in the ING form. Similar verbs are called non-continuous verbs. Non-continuous verbs includes these characteristics (1) verbs that use thinking (2) verbs that show possession (3) verbs that reflect emotion, mental state, and condition (4) Verbs that reflect perception. Non continuous verb में शामिल होती है ये विशेषताएं होती हैं (1)  ऐसी क्रियाओं जो सोचने मे प्रयोग होती है (2) ऐसी क्रियाएं जो आधिकार दर्शाती हो (3) ऐसी क्रियाएं जो भावना, मानसिक दशा, और दशा को दर्शाती हो (4) ऐसी क्रियाएं जो जो धारणा को दर्शाती हो! (1) verbs that use in thinking:-  think, know, mean, mind, remember, suppose, etc . (2) verbs that show possession :-  own, have, belong, comprise, possess, contain, consist, and etc. (3) verbs that reflect emotion, mental state, and condition :-  believe, like, dislike, love, adore, want, wish, desire, hate, agree, trust, imag...

USE OF HAVE

Use of have Have often means to own or possess . (Have) अक्सर खुद के पास या होने का मतलब है। Have always used according to subject (Have) का प्रयोग हमेशा सब्जेक्ट के अनुसार किया जाता है Look at the subjects and their helping verbs. "HAVE" use with the subject I, YOU, THEY, AND WE. AND "HAS" use with the subject HE, SHE, IT, NAME. To make a positive statement. Subject + have/has + object. Ex- she has a pen. Ex-उसके पास एक पेन है Ex- I have knowledge. Ex- मेरे पास ज्ञान है To make a Negative statement. Subject + do /does + not + have + object. Note: to make Negative and Interrogative statements, all subjects have is used. Ex- she doesn't have a pen. Ex- उसके पास पेन नहीं है Ex- I don't have knowledge.
