MORNING WITH LEARNING ( use of "yesterday" , "last night" ," last month" , "last year" ," ago" ," before" )

Many words combine to form a sentence, but there are some words that decide which tense will be used in a sentence. Such words are called ADVERB OF TIME.




Now the question is what does Adverb work, so let's know what is Adverb. 

if we talk about its definition, then Adverb is a word that describes the characteristics of verbs and adjectives.

 Now let's talk about ADVERB OF TIME, Adverb of time is a type of Adverb which are the words that indicate the time in a sentence.

We will talk about those words which show that only past simple tense should be used. Such words are to use, if such words are  "YESTERDAY", "  THE PREVIOUS DAY, "LAST NIGHT", "LAST MONTH", "LAST YEAR", "THE PREVIOUS NIGHT" "THE PREVIOUS MONTH" "THE PREVIOUS YEAR", "AGO", "BEFORE", "THE DAY BEFORE YESTERDAY"



Such words are used only in two places in a sentence if they are used anywhere other than do places, then the sentence is considered wrong, now there are two places where Adverb of time is used,,,  first one before the SUBJECT  and SECOND one after the OBJECT. 


Let's understand them by example, 

Ex :- She discussed everything with me yesterday. 

Ex :- He washed his face before he went to bed. 

Ex :- The train started just before I reached the station. 

Ex :- I taught him lesson the day before yesterday. 

Ex :- They missed their train few minutes ago. 


When two tasks have finished in the past, then past perfect is used with the first ending sentence and simple past with the latter ends.

Ex :- She had left before he arrived 

Ex :- Class had started when I entered the class room. 

Ex :- Train had departured the platform when she  reached the station.

NON - CONTINUOUS VERB

Non-continuous verbs   Some verbs can not be used in continuous tense because such verbs are not used in the ING form. Similar verbs are called non-continuous verbs. Non-continuous verbs includes these characteristics (1) verbs that use thinking (2) verbs that show possession (3) verbs that reflect emotion, mental state, and condition (4) Verbs that reflect perception. AS, WHEN AND WHILE,( THESE THREE WORDS HELP TO EXPRESS SIMULTANEOUS ACTION)

There are many actions that occur at the same time that we have to use as, when and while to narrate them,,,, As, when and while, they are called  conjuction which are used to add sentences.
