Conjunctions ( PART B)





I already said that conjunctions is the backbone of the competitive exams, it is not only important in competitive exams but also in speaking.
With help of conjunctions sentences and phrases are used to join, 
earlier discussed what is the conjunctions? And how they work in the sentence,

Now, i am going to to discuss, co ordinate conjunctions.
CO ORDINATE CONJUNCTIONS:,
They use to indicate equalization, let me explain what i mean,. Co ordinate  conjunctions are always used to noin the sentences  or phrases  with equal parts speech,  and also according to their features,.

They are known as FANBOYS.
F stands for "for", 
A stands for "And", 
N stands for "Nor", 
B stands for "But", 
O stands for "Or", 
Y stands for "yet", 
S stands for "So",


F - STANDS FOR "FOR" IS USED TO SHOW CAUSE. 
Ex:- she came here for who is interested to learn English. 

A - STANDS FOR "AND" IS WORKED FOR ADDITION / TO GIVE EXTRA INFORMATION. 
Ex:- A police man was sent to my house and all the rooms were checked.                      ⬇️
In this case, and provides extra information. 
Ex:- Ram and mohan are brothers.
         ⬇️            ⬇️👉 Both are nouns
In this example same parts of speech has been worked 
And according to subject + verb agreement, 
When two subject joined by and, they work as a plural subject and plural verb is used with them. 
Ex:- Student and teacher were raising their voice against the management authority. 

N- STANDS FOR "NOR" IS WORKED TO GIVE OPTIONS BUT BOTH OPTIONS SHOULD BE NEGATIVE. 
Ex:- she never listened Nor followed what ever i said to her. 
In this case, same parts of speech is used ( both are verbs and same verb forms). 

B - STANDS FOR "BUT" AND BUT IS USED TO SHOW CONTRAST, IT MEANS ONE MAN BUT TWO VISIONS IN THE SAME TIME, 
Ex:- India played well but it lost the match. 
                                      ⬇️
  First statement is positive and second is negative. 

Ex:- she knows everything but she doesn't tell.
Here, noticeable part is that both sentences are formed in simple present tense. 


O- STANDS FOR "OR" IS USED TO GIVE OPTIONS BUT OPTIONS SHOULD BE POSITIVE, 
Ex:- do or die. ( same parts of speech is followed) 
Ex - she will dance or sing a song. ( Same parts of speech is followed) 

Y - STANDS FOR "YET" IS WORKED FOR EXCEPTION. 
Ex:- i want to loose the weight yet i eat chocolate. 
Ex:- she wants to learn english, yet she avoids it. 
In this case, same tenses has been followed. 

S - STANDS FOR "SO" IS USED TO SHOW CAUSE / RESULT.
Ex:- she committed heinous crime, so she got capital punishment.
Ex:- They want to learn english, so they attend the class daily.
In this case, same tenses has been followed.

Here, discussed all the aspects of co - ordinate conjunctions which play important role to join the sentences and phrases.

NON - CONTINUOUS VERB

Non-continuous verbs   Some verbs can not be used in continuous tense because such verbs are not used in the ING form. Similar verbs are called non-continuous verbs. Non-continuous verbs includes these characteristics (1) verbs that use thinking (2) verbs that show possession (3) verbs that reflect emotion, mental state, and condition (4) Verbs that reflect perception. Non continuous verb में शामिल होती है ये विशेषताएं होती हैं (1)  ऐसी क्रियाओं जो सोचने मे प्रयोग होती है (2) ऐसी क्रियाएं जो आधिकार दर्शाती हो (3) ऐसी क्रियाएं जो भावना, मानसिक दशा, और दशा को दर्शाती हो (4) ऐसी क्रियाएं जो जो धारणा को दर्शाती हो! (1) verbs that use in thinking:-  think, know, mean, mind, remember, suppose, etc . (2) verbs that show possession :-  own, have, belong, comprise, possess, contain, consist, and etc. (3) verbs that reflect emotion, mental state, and condition :-  believe, like, dislike, love, adore, want, wish, desire, hate, agree, trust, imag...

AS, WHEN AND WHILE,( THESE THREE WORDS HELP TO EXPRESS SIMULTANEOUS ACTION)

There are many actions that occur at the same time that we have to use as, when and while to narrate them,,,, As, when and while, they are called  conjuction which are used to add sentences. Actions that occur at the same time are also called simultaneous action. While , While is used to indicate simultaneous long action, while using while we should keep in mind that the time in both sentences should be the same. Ex:- While they were playing cricket, I was studying.  Ex:- I am teaching you while you are disturbing me.  Ex:- I made him understand while he  looked at them.  WHEN,  When is also used to describe simultaneous long action, using when, we also have to keep in mind that time should be same in the both sentences. Ex :- He always disturb me when you do study.  Ex:- They often inform me when they bring anything for me.  Ex:- I do my best when he asks me to help him.  AS,  Let us now know the use of as , As i...
