MISTAKES USING SHALL AND WILL

Future simple tense

The future simple tense express an action that will take place in the future.

The future tense is also used to state what will happen or will be done as a matter of habit.

In the future simple tense, there are two helping verbs are used, the first shall and the second one is will.

Both helping verbs are used according to subject.

Shall is used with I and WE and will works with HE, SHE, IT, NAME, AND THEY.

To make a positive statement.

Subject + shall/will + V1 + object.

Ex- she will sing a song.
Ex- i shall make you understand.

To make a Negative statement.

Subject + shall/will + not + V1 + object.

EX- she will not sing a song.
Ex- i shall not make you understand.

To make a Interogative statement.

Ex- will she sing a song?
Ex- shall i make you understand?

Besides using will/shall we can also use be going to (subject + am/is/are + going to + main verb + object) to express simple future tense, the be going to form of simple future tense is usually used to discuss future plans or predict something.

Ex- i am going to watch movie.
Ex- they are going to play cricket tomorrow.

In using will /shall, there are lots of confusion, with I / WE sometimes will is used and with HE, SHE, IT, NAME, AND THEY shall is used.

Now the question rises why it happens.
To clear this question, we have to understand the concepts

Note : in case of Threat (धमकी), PROMISE (वाचन), COMMAND (आदेश), DETERMINATION, COMPULSION (अनिवार्यता), and ADVICE( सलाह).

(1) COMMAND
Ex- you shall leave the class at once.

(2) PROMISE
Ex- you shall be awarded.
Ex- i will help you come what may.

(3)THREAT
Ex- i will kill you.

(4) DETERMINATION
Ex- i will do hard work to clear this exam.
