Confusion is always found in the use of any, among children, there is a need to understand some basic features before using any....
Any is a determiner, used to denote indefinite quantities or amount of number, any is always used in negative and interrogative sentences.
I have already mentioned you before that any is used in negative and interrogative sentences, but children are always confused that where it is used in the sentence.
Here is the format which is made you easily understand where it is used,,,,
FORMAT FOR NEGATIVE SENTENCE,
SUB + AUX. VERB + NOT + VERB + ANY+ OBJ.
Ex :- I do not have any doubt.
Ex:- She has not given any clue to doubt of her skills.
Ex:- They were not paid any bill.
Ex:- We did not have any problem with him to live with us.
Ex:- I do not have any idea how it works.
FORMAT FOR INTERROGATIVE SENTENCE,
AUX. VERB + SUB + VERB + ANY + OBJ.?
Ex:- Have you got any answer?
Ex:- Do you have any knowledge?
Ex:- Did you hear any sound which made you uncomfortable?
Ex:- Have you made any mistake in your life?
Ex:- Does she has any problem related to her admission in this college?
Note :- ANY does not deliver any negative meaning, it is negative when it is used with not.
That's all about use of any,,,,
