conjunctions (PART-C)

As we have already discuss about the role of the conjunctions ,so in this let us talk about the SUB - ORDINATE CONJUNCTIONS....
what are they? , what are features? , where they are used?  We learn all answers of these questions.

SUBORDINATING CONJUCTIONS: These conjunctions help to merge the clause to the main clause.
Sub-ordinate conjunctions basically, help to join such a sentence which is depended and to convey its message, take the help of independent clause.

Before learning sub - ordinate clause, we have to understand, what are the clause? , and  their types.

Firstly the question is arised, what is the clause?
Clause, it contains both subject and predicate , it means, (subject + verb) is included in clause.
And now the answer for the question (types of clauses)
Two types of clauses are available.
First  INDEPENDENT CLAUSE,
And second DEPENDENT CLAUSE,
DEPENDENT CLAUSE included three sub- clauses,
They are the NOUN CLAUSE, ADJECTIVE CLAUSE, AND ADVERB CLAUSE
1) NOUN CLAUSE:- Which is known by name.
2) ADJECTIVE CLAUSE :- A Modifier of noun.
3) ADVERB CLAUSE :-A Modifier of a statement or which helps to enhance the statement.
Ex:- she will take umbrela (if it rains.)
Ex:-  until clock 🕒 hits 8 o'clock, i will not attend the class.

These are the words called SUB - ORDINATE CONJUNCTIONS.
"UNTIL", "UNLESS", WHENEVER", "HOWEVER", "WHEN", "WHERE", "HOW" "WHY", "IF", "AS IF", "WHILE", "BECAUSE", "SINCE", "ALTHOUGH", "THEREFORE", "HENCE", "THUS" AND ETC.

1) UNTIL / UNLESS,
both use differently, until use for "Time" while unless use for "SITUATION".

Both are known as a Negative word, it means "Not" doesn't use with them.
Look at the format,
(Time) until + subj + verb + obj, subj + verb + obj.
Ex:- until clock hits 8 o'clock, i will not attend the class. 👉 With until and unless positive sentence must be used.
Let's look at another example,
Ex:- they doesn't contact me unless they need money.

2) BECAUSE / BECAUSE OF,

Note :- "Because" is a conjunctions while "Because of" works as a preposition.

Features :- both indicate reason, and help to join sentence.

But because of is a preposition, & preposition is used to join words.
Look at the format,
BECAUSE OF + NOUN / PRONOUN, THEN THE REST OF SENTENCE,

Ex:- because of lock down, All things are rated costly.

Because as a conjunction, it helps to join the sentence.

"WHY" featuring Reason,
"HOW" featuring condition,
"WHERE" featuring place,

Let's look the format of all,
       First statement, second statement.

Ex:-  she knows everything why he is working
               here .

4) ALTHOUGH / HOWEVER / THOUGH,
These conjunctions are mostly asked in the competitive exams.
These indicate contrast in the sentence,
Ex:- he works hard however he doesn't get success.
Ex:- However , it is easy to use, it can not carry anywhere.

5) THEREFORE / THUS / HENCE,
They help to conclude the matter / issue,
Therefore is a part of conjunctions while thus and hence belong to adverb.
Ex:- she committed heinous crime therefore she got capital punishment.
Ex:- they have completed their project in time thus the company  promoted them.

6) WHILE / WHERE AS,
These conjunctions are extremely important, when we are trying to use them, (while) has two different meaning because it works as a preposition as well as conjunctions.
While as a preposition, it works to show duration or time, It has fix format while using it.
WHILE + WORD + ING, THEN REST OF SENTENCE.
Look at the example,
Ex:- while crossing the road, we should follow  traffic rules.

Now, while as a conjunctions, it indicates contradiction in the sentence.

As a preposition,
(Since) shows point of time or when the time is known by name.

If you want to learn more about since as a preposition so here is the link

since as a conjunctions,
(Since) works to show time but in the sense of ( जब से) but since has fix format when it works as a conjunctions,
Look at the format,
