Conjunctions ( a joiner of the sentences or phrases)

It is said that there are no specific rules to speak english but to write, rules must be followed,
यह कहा जाता है कि अंग्रेजी बोलने के लिए कोई विशेष नियम नहीं हैं, लेकिन लिखने के लिए नियमों का पालन करना चाहिए,
Basically conjunctions are most important chapter in english, which help to join the sentences and also one phrase to another and when  join the sentences and phrases then specific rules are followed to join them.

In this chapter, i am discussing such rules which help you to use correct English.

Conjunctions usually have two main roles.
First, to coordinate and second  to join one clause to another.

Conjunctions is strategically divided into three types.
1)  CO- RELATIVE CONJECTIONS,
2) CO- ORDINATE CONJECTIONS AND
3) SUB- ORDINATE CONJECTIONS,

Lets start learning them.
1) CO- RELATIVE CONJECTION, is the
Conjunction which always comes in pair to join the sentence, it is also known as a pairtive conjunction.

"EITHER - OR", NEITHER - NOR", NOT ONLY-BUT ALSO", "BOTH - AND", " NO SOONER- THAN", "HARDLY - WHEN", "SCARCELY - WHEN", "AS - AS", "AS - SO", " SO - THAT" ETC.

"EITHER - OR"
Works for equality, equality means what ever it joins, join with equal parts of speech, and also it works in a positive sentence or Interrogative sentence.
Look at the example,
Ex:- she will either 👉dance or 👉sing a song on the stage.
In this example dance and sing both are the verbs  and in the same verb forms this is called equality
Look at another example,
Ex:- Either Ram or Mohan is going to sing a song.
In this case, same parts of speech., both are nouns,
In this example, subject verb agreement rule has been followed, always keep in mind when either - or join two subjects, then everything goes according to the second subject, second subject can be a singular or plural.

Same concept is followed( Neither - nor), nad (Not only - but also)
But Neither - nor is used in negative sentence, and with it not is avoided in the sentence.
Look at the example,
Ex:- Neither Ankit nor mohan did not inform me (wrong)
And the sentence should be,
Ex:- Neither Ankit nor mohan informed me. ( right)

Use of ( NO SOONER - THAN)

No sooner is a negative word, and use of not should be avoided in the sentence, so it works only Interrogative sentences.
Let's see the Format, how it join the sentences.

First sentence
No sooner + Interrogative sentence, must be in simple past or past perfect. And join second sentence with than.

Ex:- No sooner did he come out  of the house than it began to rain.

USE OF (HARDLY/SCARCELY - WHEN)

hardly and scarcely are also Negative word, and with them use of "not" is avoided in the sentence, because of negation  they work only in Interrogative sentece.
Look at the format,
First sentence
Hardly / Scarcely come starting of the sentence than Interrogative sentence of past perfect is formed, to join the second sentence when should be placed.
Ex:- Hardly had he come out of the bus when bomb exploded and bus shattered into pieces.

USE OF BOTH - AND
With both - and have two main roles in english,
First, both - and works for same parts of speech, and second it works for subject + verb agreement.

For  same parts of speech, format should be used
Both + ( parts of speech)+ And (same parts of speech should be used)
Look at the example,
Ex:- both india and Pakistan fought with each other.         ⬇️                 ⬇️
Noun                   👉 Same parts of speech is placed.

Let's look another aspects of both - and,
When  subjects joined by both - and
Then subject is known as a plural and with it plural verb is used.
Ex:- both india and Pakistan are trying to resolve their issues.

USE OF THOUGH/ALTHOUGH - YET
Though/ Although used for "contrast" means one subject but two different visions, though/ although for positive vision and yet for Negative vision,
Look at the example,
Ex:- Although indian team played well, yet it lost the match.
Ex:- Though english is easy yet it is difficult to understand.
