Hello friends,
As we have already discussed the role of the voice and the changes in previous blog,
Here, i am going to explain some easy tricks to change active voice into passive voice,as well as advance voices and their use.
Lets start,
Look at the format, for the first trick.
Complementory words + sub + verb + obj + indirect object.
If this format based active voice comes, then we have to keep these points in mind.
First, keep the complimentory word where it is present,
Second, indirect object is also keep same where it is,
Example Sentence :
Active voice:- Every year, the prime minister addresses the whole nation on 15 of August.
Passive voice:- every year, the whole nation is addressed by the prime minister on 15th of August.
Every year is same place where it is used,
And on 15th of August is exact place where it is used, and the rest of sentence has been changed into passive voice.
2) second trick,( if the subject is not clear in the sentence) then no need to mention subject while changing active voice into passive voice,
Look at the example,
Active voice :- no one has climbed this mountain before.
Passive voice:- This mountain has not been climbed before.
In this sentence, subject is missing because subject is not clear in the active sentence.
3) Third trick,
If the two active voice sentences are join with any one of them then both sentences are formed in passive voice, and the both sentences should be the same tense.
यदि दो active voice kec वाक्य इनमे से किसी एक के साथ जुड़ते हैं तो दोनों वाक्य passive voice me बनते हैं, और दोनों वाक्य एक tense के होने चाहिए.
Example Sentence :-
Active voice:- they allowed harry to go out, but they did not allow dick.
Passive voice:- Harry was allowed to go out but dick was not allowed.
In this case both sentences are based on past simple and one more thing both are formed in passive voice.
इस मामले में दोनों वाक्य past simple पर आधारित हैं और एक और बात दोनों passive voice मे बदले गए है.
4) fourth trick,
Some verbs are used with fixed preposition, and if these verbs come in active voice, then
By is not 🚫 used in passive voice
Here are the verbs,
Known to, surprised at, amazed at, astonished at, vexed at, annoyed with, contained in, decorated with, filled with, engulfed in and etc.
Example Sentence,
Active voice :- she knows me.
Passive voice:- i am known to her.
In this case, with known "to" is a fixed when ever it is used in the sentence.
